Ehara taku toa i te toa takitahi. Engari, he toa takitini.

Success is not the work of one, but the work of many.

Permanent, full, part-time or fixed term opportunities available

Let’s start with what we know.  An experienced Registered Occupational Therapist could have the pick of multiple jobs across the public and private sector, so, why would you choose to work with us?

Well first up, let’s be honest. We can’t offer you financial incentives, small caseloads or a cruisy work day, but what we can offer is for you to be part of a dedicated, energetic and creative team of people who care about supporting people to remain living well in their homes. This role involves far less report writing than is required and a better work life balance than private sector work.

Yes, there are Enable applications but these will be contained within your work hours so you can leave work at work. We even have one of the only Advanced Practitioners in Wheelchairs and Seating in the country who can support your learning and development in this area of skill and a dedicated Occupational Therapy Professional Lead to also support you.

We are looking for either an experienced Occupational Therapist or will consider an exceptional new graduate.

Engage Community Allied Health employ over 40 staff including Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists, Social Workers, Dietitians, Speech Language Therapists, and Therapy Assistants, along with our supportive administrators who all work together to achieve the best outcomes for our patients.

What we are offering you is to become part of a service that cares about their community and their team. Our jobs are very serious and have huge impacts on the lives of others but along the way you will build relationships and comradeship with the team who will support you in your everyday work.

We are looking for ‘can do’ people who have a passion for doing whatever it takes to support our most vulnerable to live their best life.  No two days will look the same, there will never be a shortage of work but we will have lots of fun along the way and provide a great team spirit.

If you are currently living outside of the Hawke’s Bay area and need any other reasons to work for us then consider that currently Hawke’s Bay gets upwards of 2,250 hours of sunshine each year, fresh produce, vineyards, art deco and the ocean right on our front door step.

Salary Range for this position is - $82,045 - $103,000 in accordance with Public, Allied and Technical Health Employee’s Multi Employer Collective Agreement (MECA) Step 1 - Step 3 according to qualifications and relevant experience pro-rated for hours worked.
