Ehara taku toa i te toa takitahi. Engari, he toa takitini.

Success is not the work of one, but the work of many.

Fixed term (Maternity leave cover), Part-time

40 hours per fortnight (0.5 FTE)

We're looking for a Physiotherapist to join the Hoki ki te Kāinga team, on a fixed term contract until August 2025. While post graduate experience would be ideal, there is the potential for this to be a step in the door for the right new graduate.

We are an interdisciplinary early supported discharge team working in the community to support people in their transition home from hospital. You would mainly be working with older adults who are recovering from an illness, injury or surgery.

We encourage and support people who are innovative, eager to learn and enhance their skills, and are passionate about caring for our community. You’ll be dealing in the business of people every day so communication, patience and empathy should be high on your list of attributes.

You’ll bring your experience of working within the rehabilitation, orthopaedic, geriatric or community settings; and your exceptional interpersonal skills. You’ll be passionate about improving health outcomes for our clients, and making a real difference to the people you work with.

If successful, you would complete goal setting in collaboration with the person and their whānau, and identify goals that are meaningful to them. You would develop individualised rehabilitation plans to increase their independence in activities of daily living, with the aim of making every moment a possible rehab opportunity.

This role includes excellent pay rates including penal rates for weekends and statutory holidays worked, as well as extra leave allowance for shift work and statutory holidays worked.
