Description
- Office-based role in Albany (5 days a week with flexible hours)
- Manage on-prem and datacentre kit
- Projects to migrate to the cloud (Azure)
The role
Manage Level 3 incidents and requests within agreed SLAs
Provide Level 2 Engineers with technical guidance
Support approximately 100 customers across NZ, each employing diverse technologies
Provide technical insights to project teams on building scalable Data Centre Infrastructures
Engineering work will include:
- Windows Server (2012 – 2019) Systems Administration & Engineering
- Troubleshooting datacentre hosts/switches/HP sans and third-level desktop support
- Managing Hyper V environments
- Data Centre Management and managing Windows Server/host and VM's.
This role suits a person who likes the technology, enjoys being behind the scenes, optimising Data Centre technologies, and building scalable and secure infrastructures.
At least 3 years working within a Level 3 role, ideally in an MSP.
- Experience managing Virtualisation environments - Servers and Desktops
- RDS environment administration
- Backup Management and Configuration – Azure Cloud Backups, Azure Backup Server, Microsoft Data Protection Manager, Veaam
- Hyper V Clustering, Management and Monitoring
- HP Storage Array Management
- Windows Server experience - 2012, 2016, 2019 (2022 would be great)
