You'll provide expert home loan advice to our customers across the region, building a network of clients across the area, supporting residential homeowners and property investors. You will grow and sustain new business opportunities in home loans, working in a range of diverse and non-traditional environments, so you'll love the idea of being flexible and adaptable.

You will be based out of the Hamilton Partners Centre, and there is a focus on customers across Cambridge, Morrinsville and Matamata.

What are 5 day to day tasks the person in this role will complete?

  • Prospecting for new home lending opportunities
  • Creating and submitting credit applications through to approval and drawdown
  • Developing existing and new relationships to drive new opportunities
  • Following up clients/leads
  • Helping new Zealanders fulfil their home ownership dreams

What is the most challenging thing about this opportunity?

The most challenging aspect will be building a personal brand you are proud of and can present confidently in market, promoting yourself and BNZ to new clients. Building new connections to foster long term ongoing opportunities.

What is the most exciting thing about this opportunity?

The chance to build a BNZ mobile presence in the region and really promote BNZ as a great first choice for home lending.

What attributes will this person have in order to be successful?

You'll be passionate about home lending and the entire client journey from pre-approvals to drawdowns and an engaging, self-motivated induvial ready to build an exceptional brand. This is an acquisition role so a desire to put yourself out there and really be a self-starter, motivated to succeed and driven to perform is essential. We are looking for:

  • Exceptional lending knowledge and credit skills in the home lending space
  • Attention to detail to get things right first time
  • You'll be familiar with the area and ideally already have strong relationships and networking abilities in and around the area
  • A sound understanding of the property market, as well as the housing under construction, property development and turnkey industries

This position is 37.5 hours per week, with flexibility to work weekends and afterhours as part of the full-time hours.
