Are you passionate about getting a foot in the door to support Mental Health

 

We are now taking on board passionate and committed Health Care Assistants to join our Intensive Mental Health Services working alongside acutely unwell people in Hawke’s Bay.


This position can be physically demanding and we do require you to have a certain level of fitness and strength in this role.


The role is an opportunity work as part of a dynamic and passionate team in an acute mental health setting. Your direct impact will influence the people we care for during vulnerable times in their journey through mental health.

 

Your duties will be to support mental health patients and staff with general house cleaning, personal care and other physical requirements within our mental health Service. Each day will be different and you will have the opportunity to work in with patients who need your care and support.


In order for you to be eligible for this role, you must have the following: 

  • Experience caring for people in a similar role
  • The flexibility to take on shifts on an on-call basis
  • A passion for people and the community
  • A genuine desire to help and support others in mental health
  • New Zealand Certificate in Health & Wellbeing (Level 3)
