The Medical Assessment & Planning Unit (MAPU) at Palmerston North hospital has recently moved into our new building near our Emergency Department. We have 20 beds that process medical admissions 24 hours a day/ 7 days a week.

 

MAPU have a part time (24 hours a week) permanent position available working rostered and rotating shifts predominately mornings including weekends. Actual hours of work will be negotiated with the successful applicant/s and this can be discussed at the time of the interview.

The role of the HCA is to assist Regulated Clinical Health Professionals in providing care which is safe, economic and of the highest quality possible and to provide a high standard of environmental cleanliness and to assist with non-nursing duties associated with patient care.

 
If you are able to work with a wide range of people, have a strongly developed customer focus, are highly organised and have a professional presentation, then we want you to join our friendly, dynamic team.

You don't need to have any qualifications and full training will be given for successful applicant/s.
 
Applicants should have New Zealand residency or a valid New Zealand work visa.
