Financial Accountant (18 month Fixed Term)

This fixed term role for 18 months is based in our National Office, Wellington. Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer your focus is to provide direct support to the Chief Financial Officer. You'll have a lead role in a small team and be responsible for vote management, balance sheet management, providing legislative advice and ensuring compliance through preparation of financial statements, updating policy and preparing responses to official information requests. You will be responsible for building strong relationships across the organisation and with external stakeholders such as our Auditors, EY and Treasury. As your role also involves support for the development of team members in finance administration and systems / reporting we see you bringing a depth of experience and commitment to working cohesively. The key focus for the next 6-12 months is year end processes, financial reporting to Central Government and technical update processes i.e. October Baseline Update 2024.
