Te Roopu Whitiora (2.0 FTE, Fixed Term 12 months)

About the Role:

 

Are you a Registered Nurse with a passion for Mental Health Nursing? Right now, our team at Te Roopu Whitiora, Community Māori Mental Health Team is seeking two experienced nurses to join us. These are full time roles (40 hours per week), both fixed term for 12 months based in Whangarei.

 

We are a service committed to ongoing professional and cultural development within the parameters of the expected scope of practise for this position.

 

We are a close whānau that works collaboratively together and genuinely care about each other.  Our sense of belonging is enhanced with a lot of laughter and humour. 

 

About You:

 

Our ideal applicant will have experience of working with tāngata whaiora and their whānau living with the effects of mental illness in our community and a proven ability to communicate well with tāngata whaiora, their whānau and colleagues, and engage Māori in making choices that enhance their wellbeing.  You will have a commitment to improving health outcomes, cultural safety and quality of care for Māori.

 

You must hold a current clean driving licence and a current annual practising certificate. The successful applicant will work alongside other Kai Mahi Māori within a supportive team environment of health professionals that is committed to delivering an excellent clinical and cultural service that reflects the needs of our tāngata whaiora and their whānau.
