About the Role:

 

Are you a Registered Nurse with a passion for Mental Health Nursing? Right now, our team at Te Roopu Whitiora, Community Māori Mental Health Team is seeking a nurses to join us. This is a full time role (40 hours per week), Monday to Friday 8am-4.30pm based in Whangarei.

 

We are a service committed to ongoing professional and cultural development within the parameters of the expected scope of practise for this position.

 

We are a close whānau that works collaboratively together and genuinely care about each other.  Our sense of belonging is enhanced with a lot of laughter and humour. 

 

About You:

 

Our ideal applicant will have experience of working with tāngata whaiora and their whānau living with the effects of mental illness in our community and a proven ability to communicate well with tāngata whaiora, their whānau and colleagues, and engage Māori in making choices that enhance their wellbeing.  You will have a commitment to improving health outcomes, cultural safety and quality of care for Māori.

 

You must hold a current clean driving licence and a current annual practising certificate. The successful applicant will work alongside other Kai Mahi Māori within a supportive team environment of health professionals that is committed to delivering an excellent clinical and cultural service that reflects the needs of our tāngata whaiora and their whānau.
