District Nurse - Community Nursing

Casual positions available

 

We are looking for experienced Registered Nurses to join our District Nursing team on a casual basis.

Community Nursing provides a wide range of specialist nursing care in the community, with the aim being to enable you to stay healthier for longer and closer to home.

 

The role would appeal to those who enjoy the challenges and variety associated with working autonomously in the community environment, and the flexibility of hours that working casually offers. If you are currently working part time this could compliment your existing hours.

It is essential that you have a current unendorsed NZ driver licence, a strong customer service focus, and have a broad range of clinical skills including wound management (both acute and chronic), intravenous therapy, urinary in dwelling catheter management, as well as knowledge in the management of long term conditions. Ideally you’ll have experience in a community setting however we will consider all applicants who can demonstrate practise at a proficient level as per the HBDHB Professional Development and Recognition Programme (see the attached Position Profile)
