Our Critical Care Unit at Southland Hospital is looking for an experienced Administration Officer to join their team on a full time permanent basis.

The purpose of the role is to effectively contribute to the smooth running of the Critical Care Unit by providing an efficient and timely administrative support function that is responsive and flexible to the changing needs of the service/organisation.

Mōu ake - About you

We are looking for a new team member to carry out varied administrative duties to support the wider team, and ensure our department runs smoothly. You will be extremely resilient, display maturity whilst making sound decisions, and have a professional can-do attitude in line with our values.

As an experienced administrator you will be skilled at juggling multiple priorities, and able to remain calm under pressure.

Ideally you will bring the following skills and experience:

  • Previous experience in a clerical administration role
  • Be good at multitasking, and work well under pressure
  • Excellent word processing and data entry skills, with a strong eye for detail
  • A flexible approach with the ability to successfully prioritise your workload
  • Respectful nature handling confidential and sensitive information in a professional manner

Utu whānui - Salary range

This role is covered by the terms and conditions of the PSA South Island Clerical Multi-Employer Collective Agreement and the salary will be in accordance with the National Health Administration Workers Pay Scale, Band 4A Step 1 $70,970 and Step 3 $73,941 p.a dependant on relevant experience.
