The Recovery Partner- Mental Injury role plays an important role in the delivery of specialised service to some of ACC's most vulnerable and sensitive clients.

As a Recovery Partner - Mental Injury, acting as a facilitator you will work in collaboration with a range of internal and external medical practitioners, you will be delivering a client led approach to those that have mental injury due to sexual violence and complex mental and physical injuries.

The role is office based and communication with external stakeholders and clients is phone based with a small number of face-to-face interactions.

The indicative starting salary for this role will be $77,502 This is exclusive of ACC's 9% superannuation contribution which would bring the total starting package to $84,477

You will need to be able to demonstrate significant personal resilience required to deliver this challenging work. Information you review and access will be confronting. You know how to maintain the balance of professionalism, empathy and an outcome focus to support your clients in the best possible way and stay aligned with their individual goals.

  • You understand mental injury and client engagement strategies; appropriate communication skills and can build trust with clients in vulnerable situations.

  • You understand the practical implications of delivering an excellent customer experience and know how to build empathy and trust.
  • You have demonstrable experience in building relationships with a diverse range of clients and whanau - you celebrate diversity.
  • You have continuous improvement mindset.
  • A relevant tertiary qualification is desirable but not essential.
