About the role | Mō tēnei tūranga mahi
Based in their Mount Wellington office, the Communications & Marketing Advisor supports the achievement of the organisation’s whakakitenga, kaupapa and tikanga – (see below) their Manawa, through the ownership of the Kia Puāwai brand across all communication platforms including website, intranet (Sharepoint), social media, digital, all brand collateral both internal and external, and leading the development and implementation of the organisation’s communication and marketing strategy.

About You |  He k ōrero mōu ake

To be considered for this role, you will need:

  • Several years’ experience in a relevant in a full-service end to end marketing and communications role
  • Superior copywriting skills
  • Experience being on the tools with social and digital media and creating content through the Adobe creative suite.
  • Proactive attitude towards Māori, Pasifika and Rainbow cultural competence training and development.
  • Proven ability to exhibit professional discretion and handle confidential information.
  • Interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships with stakeholders, including staff and external partners.
  • Forward-looking thinker who actively seeks opportunities and proposes solutions.
  • Competency with tikanga and te reo Māori is advantageous or a commitment to starting your journey into Te Ao Māori whilst taking ownership of your learning and growth.
