Are you passionate about fostering stronger connections between communities and organisations? The IHC Group is seeking a dynamic individual to join our team as a Kaitakawaenga / Māori Partnership. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in strengthening relationships with kiritaki, whānau, staff, and the wider community. Your primary responsibility will be to promote cultural understanding and ensure competencies are developed to create an inclusive environment where the needs of Māori are recognized and responded to effectively.

  • Demonstrated ability to influence leaders and advocate for specific cultural needs, supporting implementation of Te Rautaki Urupare Māori.
  • Strong commitment to cultural respect and adherence to Te Tiriti o Waitangi principles, ensuring cultural appropriateness and sensitivity in interactions.
  • Proficiency in Te Reo Māori and comprehensive understanding of tikanga and kawa, facilitating effective communication with diverse stakeholders.
  • Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills contributing to successful outcomes in the role.
  • Wealth of experience and knowledge, making a significant contribution to the position and the broader goals of the IHC Group.
