About the Role
As part of the Senior Leadership Team, the General Manager - Pacific Islands will:
- Implement and deliver a strategic plan across the region
- Lead the development and improvement of the region's business performance
- Strengthen new business and client relationships across the Pacific Region
- Understand and drive commercial outcomes, working closely with the Commercial Manager
- Lead, through values-based behaviour and decision making, instilling a mindset of innovation and continuous business/individual improvement
- Drive and maintain collaborative relationships with key internal and external stakeholders
- Manage Pacific region business risks to uphold the McConnell Dowell reputation and enhance performance
- Develop and implement the business plan and budget
- Collaborate with members of the senior leadership team to optimise business solutions across the regions.
- A minimum of 10 years of demonstrated experience in similar leadership positions
- Must have experience in the civil infrastructure industry with particular focus on engineering
- Experience in the Pacific Islands would be advantageous
- Experience in developing and retaining high performing teams
- Significant leadership of engineering and project management teams
- Relevant tertiary qualifications (BEng)
- Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with key stakeholders (customers, regulators, suppliers)
- Capable of analysing technical and financial reports with the purpose of taking definitive action
- Ability to manage multiple projects and succeed in high pressure environment
- Clear and definitive communication skills
- Ensure compliance with the Company's and Client's Health & Safety, Security, and Ethics & Compliance Policy.
